Beyond Six-Sigma

Six-Sigma places a great deal of importance on the idea that processes must be ‘capable.’In this article, I’m going to turn that idea on its head. I believe that processes should be appropriate for the particular product being produced. In some cases that might mean you need to achieve one of the commonly recommended levels for process capability or a gage capability.
