Role Description
We are looking for a sharp and driven intern to assist our business development team with critical market intelligence and strategic planning projects. In this role, you will dive deep into niche engineering sectors to help us understand the playing field and launch new initiatives. You will also play a key role in translating technical concepts into compelling marketing content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Intelligence & Competitive Landscape: Conduct in-depth secondary research to map out the current market landscape for specialized engineering equipment. Identify key competitors, market share, and emerging trends.
- Strategic Analysis (SWOT): Perform comprehensive SWOT analyses (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) to assess market viability and positioning for specific industrial product lines.
- Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy: Assist in drafting actionable go-to-market strategies for new industrial segments. Help identify target customer profiles, pricing structures, and distribution channels.
- Content Creation & Marketing Collateral:
- Draft engaging content for the company website to showcase new capabilities.
- Design and write copy for product brochures and sales decks that simplify complex technical features for a business audience.
- Collaborate with the technical team to ensure accuracy while maintaining a persuasive marketing tone.
Who We Are Looking For:
- Background:
- Students or recent graduates in Business Administration (MBA/BBA), Marketing, or Engineering with a flair for business strategy.
- Background in Mechanical Engineering is essential.
- Skills:
- Strong research skills (ability to find data in niche/unorganized markets).
- Ability to synthesize complex information into clear strategic reports.
- Excellent written communication skills (copywriting experience is a plus).
- Familiarity with strategic frameworks (SWOT, PESTLE, 4Ps, etc.).
- Mindset: A self-starter who can take a generic problem statement and build a structured solution.

About the Role: We are seeking an energetic and technically minded intern to support our sales team in expanding our footprint in the heavy engineering and manufacturing sectors. You will bridge the gap between engineering innovation and commercial success, helping us identify new opportunities for our high-performance industrial testing and joining solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation & Prospecting:
- Research and identify potential clients (OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and R&D centers) who require high-precision manufacturing and testing equipment.
- Map out decision-makers (CTOs, Plant Heads, R&D Managers) within target organizations.
- Client Outreach & Qualification:
- Initiate contact with potential clients via email and LinkedIn to introduce our capabilities.
- Conduct initial screening calls to understand client requirements and assess if their technical needs align with our solution portfolio.
- Sales Support & Proposal Generation:
- Assist the senior sales team in preparing technical/commercial proposals.
- Translate complex technical specifications into value-driven sales presentations.
- Maintain the CRM database with accurate activity logs and client details.
- Market Feedback Loop:
- Gather feedback from the market regarding competitor pricing and feature requirements to help refine our sales pitch.
Who We Are Looking For:
- Background: Current student or recent graduate in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field. A minor or interest in Business/Marketing is a plus.
- Skills:
- Technical Aptitude: Ability to quickly learn about complex machinery and explain how it solves engineering problems (you don't need to be an expert yet, but you must be "tech-savvy").
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills; not afraid to pick up the phone or send cold emails.
- Resilience: A "hunter" mindset—persistent and motivated by chasing targets.
- Tools: Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator or CRM tools (HubSpot/Salesforce) is a bonus.
What You Will Learn:
- The end-to-end sales cycle for high-value capital equipment (B2B sales).
- How to negotiate and communicate with senior engineering leaders.
- Technical knowledge of manufacturing processes of machine tools.
